I started visiting Brooklyn in 2008. To my delight, our young adult children landed there, two for a short term, the third as a long-term resident. I began to explore the neighborhoods. I love the brownstones of Willow Town, the Bridges of DUMBO the piers on the Columbia Street waterfront and so much more. In these neighborhoods, the past and present collide in a celebration of humanity...
I made this little booklet, "Visits to Brooklyn" after drawing the neighborhood on m many visits over the past 10 years. I fell in love with this place - first Red Hook, then Cobble Hill, Brooklyn Heights, Dumbo, Park Slope and beyond. Not only are these neighborhoods incredibly sketchable, but the stories they carry are endlessly interesting.
